Our surgeon, Dr Jane Lock FRANZCO MBBS (Hons), MMed, is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology.
She has special interests in paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
She completed her general medical training at the University of Western Australia in 2007 and subsequently obtained a Master of Medicine in 2014 from the University of Sydney.
She underwent specialist ophthalmology training in Western Australia followed by fellowship training in:
She has also worked as a locum consultant ophthalmologist at Sydney Eye Hospital and Wellington Regional Hospital (NZ) and has now returned
to Perth and joined Northern Eye Surgeons
Dr Lock also holds public appointments at Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as a strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology
consultant; and at Perth Children's Hospital as a consultant paediatric ophthalmologist. She regularly partakes in writing peer-reviewed
journal articles and presents at local and international ophthalmology conferences.
